About the Conference

We are pleased to announce Mental Well-Being for All: The Conference on Strength-Based and Preventive Interventions in Hong Kong and Chinese Communities. This landmark event is proudly organised by the Division of Counselling Psychology (DCoP), the Hong Kong Psychological Society and the Department of Counselling and Psychology, Hong Kong Shue Yan University (HKSYU).

Taking place on 6 – 7 November 2026, followed by a dedicated Post-Conference Workshop on 8 November 2026 at HKSYU, this gathering marks a special occasion: Celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Division of Counselling Psychology (DCoP), the Hong Kong Psychological Society.

Serving as a premier platform to explore pioneering approaches to community mental health, the conference brings together scholars, practitioners, educators, and students from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao, and the wider Asia-Pacific region to re-envision the future of counselling psychology in Chinese contexts.

As the host institution, HKSYU holds a pioneering status in regional professional training, being the first academic institution in Hong Kong to train registered counselling psychologists, and offering Asia’s first and only Doctor of Psychology programme in Counselling Psychology.

The organising committee warmly invites abstract submissions from researchers, experienced practitioners, trainees, and students whose work advances the discipline and promotes resilience across diverse systems.
